Here are a few more Layouts I did on Saturday with my fabulous friend Kari, the mojo was flowing freely that evening, and even her kids got involved! Good times! I di all five of these layouts in about 5 hours which is really good considering how much talking there was and inhaling of salt and vinegar chips and mini peanut butter cups ;)

And here is a paperweight I made for Ray, he came home to it yesterday on his desk, I think he kinda loves it!

Happy thoughts

Well I have been the worst blogger so far this year, so much going on in my world. Dawn, one of the girls I scrapbook with has taken a HUGE leap and done what so many of us wish we could do, she is opening up her own scrapbooking store!! This is so fantastic and we are all super thrilled for her and ready to break down the doors to buy it all up ;)

Dawn has also made a dream come true for me as well! She has asked me to teach classes at her store!! This is super exciting as it is right up my alley and I already have a ton of ideas going through my head. Thank you so much for thinking of me Dawn. I am so pumped! You can visit Dawns blog here the store opens in June!!

Check out what I did to Taylas hair for Crazy hair day! She said she loved it and wants to do her hair like this all the time. Ha ha!

On another note, if you have read the book Water for Elephants, go see the movie they did a fantastic job, and I loved every minute! Not to mention Robert Pattison looks quite dreamy with color in his cheeks! Two thumbs up from this avid reader and movie buff ;)

Right now I am reading a handful of books and have them throughout my house....The Happiness Project, Shit my Dad says, Memory Keepers Daughter, A wolf at the table, and I think I am forgetting one. I heart books.

Today and always I am sending out happy positive thoughts to my best friend, She is going for her 3rd try at In-Vitro tomorrow. It has been a long emotional roller coaster ride for her and her hubby, and I am looking forward to crying tears of joy when she tells me the news. Please dear God if you are reading my blog or listening to my heart, give those two a baby. You know they would be amazing parents and deserve this gift of love and life. I also vow to throw her the best baby shower anyone has ever seen, and to lavish love and attention on this new little person. Amen.

Please whoever reads this send her happy thoughts of healthy babies, and a growing belly! Who knows she could even have more than one!!

I hope you all have a fabulous Wednesday! Treat each day like it's your birthday!

PS. If you have not checked out Pinterest yet, what are you waiting for? It is my new addiction, inspiration 24/7, love it! Go here now

the happiest place on earth isn't Disneyland!!!

it's right here in my happy little art studio....This has always been a huge dream for me to have an art room with walls and windows. I was so happy with my paint choice the name of the paint is Echo lake.....makes me happy ;)

The curtain rods are from Jysk and were a steal at only 7.00 a piece! I love that I can display all my latest pages and some old favorites, like the one of my great Grandpa.

All the furniture in the room is from IKEA, another very happy place that I could spend forever in. I got all my baskets off Kjiji for only 2.00 each!! Awesom deal! and I have a ton of spares. I really purged when putting stuff back in here, so I actually have empty drawers and boxes which I am sure will take no time at all to fill.

I cannot wait to find the time to actually scrap in this space, I think this weekend we have an appointment ;) Happy creating!!!

hello. its me again.

Wow, I have been a very neglectful blogger. Man life is busy, developing out basement, this includes my new art studio! Holidays, being the owner of a booming company, dealine after deadline. Trip to Hawaii, Sasakatoon. It just never ends. And I am grateful for it all.

Just a little re-cap of some of the best and worst moments of 2010

Best gift of Christmas 2010: Shiatsu foot massager (underneath my desk, and working my little piggies right now as I type this)

Best achievment of 2010: Selling our house, and buying the new one, only 1200 square feet more ;)

Most appreciative moment: Having over 15 people that love us, help us move. Thank you everyone!!!

Greatest moment of 2010: FRONT ROW CENTER at Jack Johnson in Vancouver with some super cool chicks!

Greatest lesson learned in 2010: DO NOT GOSSIP! It is very bad for your health especially when you ass dial someone as you are gossiping about someone they love. not good.

Saddest moment of 2010: Accepting that my babies are growing at warp speed and I have to just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Greatest scrapbook product of 2010: Dear lizzy line by American Crafts. The bomb.

Best girls to scrapbook with in 2010: Annette, Koren , Kari, Natalie, Giselle, Courtenay, Brianne, Rachel, Daryth. You girls kick a$$.

Can't wait to see what unravels in 2011 ;) Its going to be epic!

To The Sea.

My trip to the coast was amazing, and much more then I imagined it could possibly be!
I flew to Vancouver Friday morning with Kari and Koren, we spent the day walking downtown, checking out all the stores, and checked out Stanley Park as well.

">

At about 4:00 pm Kari and I decided to go line up for Jack johnson early so we could try and get awesome seats. We waited in line for 3 hours and it paid off, BIG TIME!! We ended up getting the best seats in the house, front row center baby! We were about nine feet away from Jack himself ;) Not to mention Zee Avi winked/smiled at us more than I can count. G-Love and Special Sauce was outstanding, couldnt have asked for a better pre-show!

Jack was dreamy, his voice melts like butter. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, Jack came out before the show started and shook hands with a few lucky front rowers. Kari and I were 2 of those lucky peeps ;)He did the same after the show and once again shook both mine and Kari's hands. It still feels like a dream.

The next day, we drove around Vancouver, and explored a little, then Koren drove me to the ferry, where I ran into Courtenay and Shane. While we were on the ferry I spotted Steven Segal standing right next to me, I quickly pulled out my Camera and courtenay and I asked to get our picture taken with him, his bodyguard unfortunately kept pressing the on/off button instead of the click button. After two trys Steven just walked away. Bummer but at least I had a friend who was there to witness that I wasn't full of crap ;)

Ray was picking me up from the ferry in Nanaimo, so I asked if Courtenay and Shane wanted a ride somewhere on the island? They said sure, little did I know Ray would surprise me and pick me up in his uncles Porsche convertible. SO all four of us went for a little cruise on a beautiful sunny day ;) amazing.

We Spent two nights with Rays Uncle Chris and his wife Lynn, they have a pretty little acreage up on a mountain. tayla ans River enjoyed time with cousins they havent seen in a very long time. We didn't know that Chris and Lynn had become vegtarians in the past year or so so we were vegetarians as well. It was actually quite refreshing.

Then we went on to visit Rays 92 year old Grandpa Charlie and his wife Agnes. We all had such a wonderful visit with him, he amazes us all and is an example of vitality, and love. They took us to the beach to pick seashells, and Grandpa picked up a jelyfish only to find out that they really can sting you ;)We all adore him, and he has a way of making each one of us feel like we are all super special.

Rays Uncle Brian and Louise came for a visit as well, so we all went to see the salmon running, and play in the park. Such special memories to treasure forever.
